Journaling Bible Flip Through

So if you haven't jumped on the Journaling Bible bandwagon yet, you're seriously missing out. It has seriously changed my whole world when it comes to studying the bible.

I started Bible journaling in October of 2014, so just a little over a year ago. If my memory serves me correctly, when I joined the Journaling Bible Facebook group there were 400 members. There are currently just over 23,000! It has seriously BLOWN UP, but I totally get why! It's such a unique way to study the Word, plus you can use it in so many ways! Some people add elaborate art into their bibles, others simply write out prayers and notes, and many, myself included, use a combination of both and more. No matter how you go about it, what your "style" is, or your level of artistic ability, the point is that you're inspired to dig in and study God's Word.

For me personally, I find that by bible journaling I end up meditating on the scripture as I'm illustrating, making it sink in deeper, and I understand and love it even more. It has even helped me to memorize many of the verses because of the time I'm taking to study them while I'm creating.

Since I get so many questions about it, I figured it'd be easiest to just do a flip-through of all the pages I've done thus far. Now, I know I've been doing this for just over a year, but I haven't done that many pages as I don't journal every day and I also took a decent break from journaling when we moved in the spring. I just journal when I feel inspired and when I have the free time to do it, but I want to be more intentional about journaling more often in 2016.

The Bible I use is an ESV Single Column Journaling Bible and I use very basic materials to create with. My favorite pens are the Sakura Pigma Microns (which are currently on sale on Amazon) because they are waterproof, which works great for watercolors, and they have archival ink, which means they will not faid over the years. They also come in lots of colors and sizes.

If you have any questions about any of my pages or about Bible jorunaling in general, please leave me a comment below and I'll do my best to answer them. Hope you enjoyed the video!

I cannot wait to start my own Bible journaling-I will probably need lots of help and advice from you! You are so talented and it makes me so happy to see it come out in such a special way through God's word! First thing I need to do is go out and get my Bible with margins! Can't wait!

  2. Archeological records have proven his wealth exactly as the Bible described. The land of Canaan was also in question as to its existence but writings on clay tablets recovered in Syria in 1970s in the Ebla archive proved it to be true. Open Heaven 2019 Devotional
